Ksenia Yarovaya on Her Realism Paintings of Greece

Realism painting - Ksenia Yarovaya, "The Treasures of Halkidiki"
Ksenia Yarovaya, “The Treasures of Halkidiki,” 22,8×37,7 in. (58×96 cm.) Oil on canvas

“The Treasures of Halkidiki”
Our land holds enormous treasures. However, we are not talking about gold or other minerals. We are talking about the corners of the planet where you can find endless riches. This is the radiance of countless diamonds on the surface of the sea at noon, these are the iridescent overflows of the emerald sea and these are paradise bays the color of aquamarine. Such a corner of the planet is Halkidiki, filled with endless treasures, the treasures of Halkidiki.

Ksenia Yarovaya, "The Planet Hellas"
Ksenia Yarovaya, “The Planet Hellas,” 19×25 in. (47×63 cm.) Oil on canvas

“The Planet Hellas”
Hellas for me is a whole world, a whole planet, where in the sounds of the waves I hear the echo of my breath, where my soul has settled in the very heart of the sea. Where birds sing a song that only I understand, and stones whisper stories of past lives. And every secret tryst with the sun at dawn gives me a feeling of universal love and gratitude for the fact that I live on this beautiful planet, on a planet called Hellas.

realism painting - Ksenia Yarovaya, "Divine light. Mount Athos"
Ksenia Yarovaya, “Divine light. Mount Athos,” 31.4×37.4 in. (80×95 cm.) Oil on canvas

“Divine light. Mount Athos”
The painting depicts the sunrise over the holy Mount Athos in Greece, which according to legend is the abode of the Virgin Mary and a monastic republic. The sunrises here have a special energy, as if after the night Divine light is spilling onto the earth. A spectacle that you can admire forever!

  1. To the publisher: When you show a painting, please at least say the SIZE of the painting, and indicating the medium is also helpful if the reader hasn’t yet read the article. We certainly cannot imagine the painting if we don’t know the size.
