Contemporary realist Vincent Figliola (vincentfigliola.com) tells us that he prefers to approach universal themes, spending “most of the day with oils, graphite, tiny brushes as those used in the Renaissance.”
Born in 1936 and still painting — Vincent has been referred to as “a contemporary realist, painting the Renaissance and making it today.”
“Even if looking into a face, or immigrant families behind my adobe,” Figliola says, “there is a consciousness about the character of the person. I see the intrigue of the person in their world.”
