On the Mixed-Media Portrait “Mademoiselle du Carnaval”

Navigating the twisted labyrinth of the creative mind, I journey inside myself to the world of the fantastic: a sacred place where dreams and nightmares come to call. Throughout my work, portals within the subconscious mind reveal an inner journey to transcendental otherworldly places where metaphor, symbolism, and allegory awaken my imaginative faculties.
In my painting “Mademoiselle du Carnaval,” a female figure experiences a moment of divine revelation: an awakening of the human spirit. Through her mystical journey back to the Garden that awaits, we witness a transformation from external reality to spiritual enlightenment.
The mixed-media painting is part of a series of works from my artistic endeavor entitled “Figure of the Imagination: An Artist’s Journey.” The adventurous quest establishes a theatrical stage from which I am able to present the paradoxical, mystical realms of the subconscious mind. The multi-media project encompasses a diverse array of story-driven works, from visual journals, sketchbooks, and hybrid storytelling to multi-dimensional paintings and sculptural works with inspirational music and sound elements.
